ApplicationA Marriage Licence can be issued to the applicant and/or joint applicant only * both parties must sign the Application Form * one of the following items of identification must be presented for each applicant: birth certificate, change of name certificates, current passport, record of immigrant landing or Canadian citizenship card as well as photo identification * applicants under the age of 18 require both parents consent * if you are divorced, we require the original or certified copy of the Decree Absolute or Certificate of Divorce (a photocopy is not acceptable) * if you are unable to understand or read English, you must bring your own translator to interpret the information on the licence/application form
